About the Author
Kristen, her husband Gene and Jack live in Upstate New York. She has been an elementary school teacher for 19 years. Kristen has always had a love for reading and a passion for all animals. It was not surprising to anyone when she got her first dog Max in 2000. In 2010 she had not planned on getting another dog. However, when she met this spunky labradoodle named Braydee, who needed a home, she decided to adopt another dog. Braydee was a great addition for Kristen. However, Max was not happy about no longer being an only child. Over time he learned to love Braydee.
Kristen started writing books after Max passed away in 2016. He was very special to her. She treats and loves all of her dogs as if they are her own children. She wanted to find a way to honor his memory so she began writing books about Max and Braydee. Not long after Max passed away, she learned of another dog that needed a home. In 2016 Kristen rescued Jack. Braydee did not like Jack at all and spent the first few months in a bedroom refusing to come out unless he had to eat or go for a walk. Kristen then began to include Jack in her books and was able to write her first book based on that story.
Kristen is currently looking for someone to publish her first book, “Max and Braydee, Friends Forever”. She is also working on other stories about her dogs! Be on the lookout for her books!
Meet the Dogs

Max was a West Highland Terrier. Max was rescued by Kristen when he was eight weeks old. He was in need of surgery to save his life. The breeder was prepared to give up on him and offered to give Kristen another puppy. Kristen took Max and was able to get him the surgery that he needed to live a long and happy life. Max loved to travel, play tug a war and went everywhere with his dog mom. Max passed away in 2016 at the age of 16.
Braydee was a Labradoodle. Braydee was rescued from a family that no longer had time for him. He was a very active dog and needed a dog mom that could be patient with him. Kristen took him in when he was only a year old. He was a sweet dog and knew how to make a gloomy day bright again. Braydee loved to chase a ball, go for walks and spend time cuddling with his mom. Braydee lived 11 years and passed away in April of 2021.

Jackson is a Chorkie. Jack was rescued by his mom when he was 7 weeks old. He came from a family that did not plan on having puppies and could not take care of all of them. He loves to chase anything that comes into his yard. He enjoys going on the boat with his family and occasionally swimming if he is hot. Jack likes to go for a walk everyday and eat any type of food that is not dog food.
